Movado was recognized as a manufacturer of reliable quality during the golden age of Swiss watchmaking, from the 1930s to the 1960s. This Reference 4820, featuring a pointer date and a triple calendar with discs displaying the day of the week and month, was positioned as a multi-functional, high-performance model of the time. It is also known that this model was owned by the late British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

This particular watch is an extremely rare bracelet model, and as you can see from the fact that it has no lugs and the bracelet is soldered directly to the case, it was made with the intention of being used with a bracelet. It is an interesting watch that combines the intelligence of a triple calendar with the luxury of an 18K bracelet.
